What inspires you? How do you choose the names of your pieces?
I have discovered this deep, deep treasure chest that has been lying inside of me for years. I am not sure how I found its key and when. I started to wake up everyday and create something. Sometimes I write stories or prose, sometimes I take pictures and sometimes I paint with beads! My jewelry pieces are mixture of the stories I read and the stories I write, the pictures I take as I enjoy nature around me .. they are born from fantasies, fables, history and dreams. This is how I would describe my jewelry, this is what inspires me and this is how each piece has a name and a tale to tell.

How do you choose the beads?
The beads I choose are special. I look for color, texture, shape, facet .. I search for the beauty in every bead, and visualize how different beads would blend and react to each other. I put together a selection of beads and just look at them, leave them for a while, and come back to see them with fresh eyes. I mix yarns together, and create color swatches with pencil colors, I hang them on my walls and search for beads to fit the image I have in my head.

What's the most unusual item you've made?
The most beautiful piece I made was for my mother. She had an long antique, broken necklace that belonged to her mother. I took it apart and created a stunning 5-strand choker that my mother cherishes because it now holds her own mother's breath and her daughter's, too.

What do customers/recipients say about your work?
My customers are usually amazed when they actually receive their piece, because they feel it comes to life in their hands, the pictures do not do them justice.

I make my pieces with such pleasure, I want women to wear them with equal, if not more, pleasure. Our life is made up of small moments of happiness .. my dream is that my pieces would bring those who wear them some moments of happiness.
